From the mountains to the sea, Hillary Taylor loves creating beautiful surroundings for her clients and their families. Her layered, thoughtful, welcoming interiors often feature neo-traditional elements shaped by her time living in California, the East Coast, and Paris. As a mother of four children, Hillary intimately understands the power of nurturing spaces and the heartfelt expression a legacy home can provide. 

Raised on the peninsula south of San Francisco, Hillary learned the art of home design from her mother. Her path to interior design, however, was anything but conventional. Before founding her namesake interiors firm in 2003, she graduated cum laude from Princeton University, worked for an investment banking firm, earned a J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School, and passed the Utah bar.

Hillary’s work has been featured in Veranda, Traditional Home, Frederic, Utah Style and Design, and other notable publications. Her studio is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with recent projects in New York, California, Idaho, Hawaii and beyond.

The designer’s long-anticipated first book, Living with Beauty: At Home and in the Garden, debuts with Rizzoli in February.
